Homemade Hummus

I love hummus. I eat it everyday, no shame. Only problem, it can get expensive at the rate I eat it! I found a can of chickpeas, so I decided to try making a batch of homemade hummus. WOW. How have I been missing out on this for so long? Not only was it the easiest thing to make, it came out tasting even better than the best store-bought hummus.

Ready to make some hummus? Grab your food processor and let’s get started!

Ingredients:

  • 1 (15-ounce) can chickpeas
  • 1/3 cup aquafaba
  • ¼ cup rice vinegar
  • ⅓ cup tahini (stir before measuring)
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic
  • ½ tsp chili lime spice
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • Pinch sea salt
  • 1 tsp parsley

Steps:

  1. Add all ingredients to your trust food processor. Blend until smooth, then eat!

Makes about 2 cups

I love my hummus with carrots and pita, but you can also add it to sandwiches, salads or as a side to cooked veggies. Next party you go to, bring a homemade hummus plate! You’ll be guaranteed an invite back.
